Day 1: North America – Sydney, Australia
Depart from major North American gateways (AC, DL, UA) for Sydney.
Day 2: In Flight
Cross the International Date Line.
Day 3: Arrival in Sydney
Morning arrival in Sydney. Meet your guide for a city tour: Visit Hyde Park, a London-style landmark; St. Mary’s Cathedral, the "Mother Church of Australian Catholicism"; and Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, a historic seat carved directly into the sandstone cliffs.
Day 4: Blue Mountains National Park (B)
Full-day excursion to the Blue Mountains (UNESCO World Heritage site). Famous for its vast eucalyptus forests that create a natural blue haze. Visit the Three Sisters rock formation at Echo Point, walk along the shores of Blue Lake, and explore the artisanal charm of Leura Village.
Day 5: Sydney Landmarks – Cairns (B)
Morning visit to the Sydney Opera House (exterior) and view the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Visit the Sydney Fish Market (lunch at own expense) to sample fresh South Pacific seafood. Optional visit to the Sydney Aquarium. Afternoon flight to Cairns.
Day 6: The Great Barrier Reef (B)
Enjoy a breakfast at the hotel followed by an optional luxury cruise to Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Explore coral reefs, tropical fish, and white sand beaches. Activities include snorkeling, glass-bottom boat tours, or optional scuba diving and helicopter rides.
Day 7: Cairns – Melbourne (B)
Fly to Melbourne. City tour includes Federation Square, Fitzroy Gardens, and Captain Cook’s Cottage (exterior). Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens and the famous Graffiti Lane. See St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the National Gallery of Victoria.
Day 8: The Great Ocean Road (B)
Travel along the spectacular Great Ocean Road. Witness the Twelve Apostles in Port Campbell National Park—magnificent limestone stacks rising from the Southern Ocean. Return to Melbourne in the evening.
Day 9: Melbourne – Queenstown, New Zealand (B)
Fly across the Tasman Sea to Queenstown. Visit Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand's longest glacial lake. Optional tours include the TSS Earnslaw steamship or a Gondola ride to the summit for a panoramic view of the Remarkables.
Day 10: Arrowtown & Lake Wanaka (B)
Explore the historic gold-mining precinct of Arrowtown, featuring preserved 19th-century architecture. Continue to Lake Wanaka to photograph the famous "Lone Tree of Wanaka" against the backdrop of the Southern Alps. Return to Queenstown.
Day 11: Queenstown – Auckland – Rotorua (B)
Fly to Auckland (North Island) and drive to Rotorua. Experience this geothermal wonderland known for its bubbling mud pools, steam vents, and optional visits to the Maori Cultural Village.
Day 12: Rotorua – Auckland (B)
Optional visit to Agrodome Royal Farm for a sheep show and farm experience. Return to Auckland to visit Mount Eden, Queen Street, Princes Wharf, and Mission Bay.
Day 13: Auckland – North America (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
